Farm shops are vital to local economies, offering farmers a direct source of income while creating jobs within the community. They also provide fresh, high-quality produce that is often harvested the same day, so it’s usually better tasting and more nutritious, which is why I always try to shop at them when possible.

There are a few smaller farm shops in Pembrokeshire, but often with specialties. We wanted one that we could do a full food shop in, and the Four Seasons store is exactly that!

Four Seasons Farm Shop

With local produce from all over the county, the biggest cheese selection I think I’ve ever seen, and giant fruits and veggies, it’s definitely going to be a regular stop for us.

There’s not just food, but a florist there too. Plus, the Four Seasons farm shop showcases local businesses, including a huge selection of locally made alcohol, and quirky home and giftware which is ideal for gift-giving.

Unfortunately, there is only a small selection of meat availble from what I’ve seen. I wish there was a meat counter rather than just a few items in the fridges, but we can go to the local butcher for meat so it suits us.

Value For Money

People often believe that farm shops are expensive, but the quality and size of food items means you usually get great value.

I bought all vegetables and bread for a week’s shop (at least), plus some treats, and it all came to only £35. It’s an hour round trip for us at least, but it definitely feels worth it for us.
