I’m always on the lookout for unique home decor so was excited to learn that I could make my own at a Willow and Waves workshop. Having recently moved to the coast, adding a piece of local, coastal art that also had a purpose was an ideal addition to our home.

Willow and Waves Workshop
Founded in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, Willow and Waves combines a love for nature, nautical history, and Celtic knotwork to create sustainable, eco-friendly products. Based in Pembrokeshire, the creator collects materials like driftwood, fishing rope, and nets from beaches and local marine conservation groups, repurposing them into durable, decorative items. The brand promotes ocean conservation through its work and offers workshops for those interested in sustainable crafts.

I attended a Willow and Waves Rope Bowl workshop. It was really fun, great to do something different, and my bowl is now proudly displayed in my home. Every visitor points it out and is impressed that I made it.
While I enjoy crafts of all kinds, this was something completely new to me, and it didn’t come easy, but we had great support throughout the two-hour workshop.
It was interesting to learn more about the conservation side and felt good to know that we were actively becoming part of the solution.

There are lots of upcoming courses in various locations in Pembrokeshire. These workshops would make a great gift too!
Not feeling crafty or not local? You can buy items online too, including homeware, jewellery, wall art, and pet products.
If you’re looking for something unique as a local or while visiting, I would definitely recommend Willow and Waves workshops and gifts.
