It’s been a while since I’ve been for bottomless brunch, so I was excited to meet up with friends over the a few weekends ago to try If Bar, Leeds. Located on Call Lane, we were welcomed wonderfully with drinks straight away. The menu was small, but with a great variety so there’s something for everyone, from breakfast burritos to pancakes with sweet and savoury options.

What a re-introduction to brunch it was!

Food

The fudge pancakes were actual perfection. I usually go for savoury options, but both pancake options sounded too good to miss, so I added bacon on the side instead to add something less sweet to the dish.

Drinks

There were two drink options; one with unlimited Prosecco and beer, the other includes cocktails too. The Candy Floss cocktail and Pornstar Martinis were fab and I have it on good authority that the Espresso Martinis were great (and strong!).

The staff gave excellent service, firstly managing our awkward orders, but also constantly topping up our Prosecco and checking if we wanted more drinks. We didn’t go without the entire time. If you’ve been for bottomless brunch elsewhere, service can sometimes be slow on that front, but we were really impressed. They even let us finish the bottle of Prosecco we had when our table was no longer available due to the next booking.

Value

It starts from £27.50 with the upgrade for cocktails at £35 per person. For this price, you really can’t go wrong in comparison to others.

Overall

Usually I’m a bit more detailed in my reviews, but the venue was great, the food was delicious and the drinks were excellent so it’s definitely a winner!
