Cymru Am Byth!

Cymru Am Byth – Wales Forever

A few weeks ago, I went home to Wales for two weddings, a birthday and Mother’s Day. It was a packed two weeks away and so much fun visiting everyone, but what made it even more special was being back in Wales. Wherever I am and whatever I do, Wales will always have my heart!

Not only is it beautiful, but any fellow Welsh person will understand what I mean by the absolute pride we feel for our home. I know a lot of people feel this way about their countries, but there is a sense of community spirit in Wales that I haven’t quite experienced elsewhere.

You can see it in the flags when walking through Cardiff city centre, in the wave from the neighbour you don’t actually know, in the way people are considerate of each other and help out strangers, and the way the countryside is kept as it should be.

Where I Went.

On my visit, I got to take a trip all along South Wales, visiting my Dad in the gorgeous Rhondda Valley, my friend in Port Talbot, and the rest of my family in Pembrokeshire. Every single day, I saw incredible views and great places to visit so I thought I’d share a few here.

If you’d like to see more, I’ll be doing separate posts on my days out in South Wales soon.

Just a note: The photos above have come directly from my camera with no editing at all! Can you believe how beautiful and colourful my home is?! (Camera: Olympus Pen E-PL7)

Have you ever been to South Wales? Is it somewhere you’d like to visit?
