Jewellery Storage: The Little Book of Earrings Review

Jewellery storage.

I have always struggled with jewellery storage, and always try to come up with solutions for storing all of my pieces in a way that they’re easy to grab and wear. In one of my very early posts, I used an old CD rack to create a rotating jewellery holder, and it worked great for a couple of years, but since then I have refined my collection a bit, and have nicer jewellery that I want to store more safely.

I’ve used a jewellery box, but I find there’s not enough space to keep everything, especially earrings. That’s where The Little Book of Earrings comes in.

The Little Book of Earrings Jewellery Storage review

I’ve seen The Little Book of… products online, but never seen one in real life so was never sure if they were as good as they looked, but the idea of storing all jewellery in one easy place definitely appealed to me!

Dealing with clutter.

I recently wrote about the difficulties of dealing with clutter and trying to become more minimalist. Clutter really gets to me, as I love the idea of a pristine show home, but in reality, it’s so difficult to achieve. Aside from feeling like a messy house equals a messy mind, I find some people judgmental when it comes to other’s houses. I’ve definitely been on the receiving end of being told I have ‘too much stuff’.

Little Shop Of Ltd. did some research* to show that 25-34 year olds are the most judgemental of their messy friends and some of the key results of the study are:

– 39% of the UK feel de-motivated when their house is messy and disorganised
– The negative impact of a chaotic home is is mainly borne by women who are 82% more likely than men to feel depressed
– We are quick to judge our friends for having an untidy home with over 1 in 5 of us viewing them as lazy
– Over 40% of the UK would be less likely to promote a messy colleague

Co-founder of Little Shop Of Ltd, Jackie McLaren, says“It is disturbing to see that, not only does clutter make us feel bad in ourselves, but it has a detrimental impact on how we are seen – so much so that even our careers can be badly affected…”

About the books.

The Little Books are hand-crafted with soft padded ‘pages’ so jewellery is protected. The earrings don’t hit each other, which was one of my worries, as the spaces alternate between pages. I’m so impressed with The Little Book of Earrings that I’ looking to get the others for the rest of my jewellery. I’ve also thrown out my clunky jewellery box. This is a much neater way to store my earrings. It actually looks like a little book so I can stand it upright on a shelf.

I love the colour and pattern range and the high quality of the books. It’s a great solution to the jewellery storage issue. Everything about them makes you feel neat and tidy. I finally know where all earrings and their pairs are!

The Little Books are available in over 250 stockists nationwide, including Scotts of Stow, JD Williams, Simply Be and Amazon.
