27 Blog Photo Prop Ideas

I want to start making more of an effort with my blog photos, and hopefully if you follow, you’ve seen an improvement in the last couple of months.

I want to set my photos up a bit better for the blog rather than just post a swiftly taken phone pic before writing a post. I was writing a list of photo prop ideas and thought it might be useful to others. I’ve seen a few of these posts, but wanted to write one with items people might already have, rather than a list of things to buy.

  1. Flowers – fake or real
  2. Candles/candle holders
  3. Fairy lights
  4. Postcards/cards/prints
  5. Washi tape
  6. Books/notebooks
  7. Desk accessories
  8. Stationery – pens, paperclips, stickers etc
  9. Glasses/sunglasses
  10. Scarves
  11. Clothes – with interesting textures
  12. Magazines
  13. Headphones/earphones
  14. Camera/accessories – polaroid photos, lens
  15. Tablet – with blog page showing
  16. Phone – with social media or blog showing
  17. Makeup brushes
  18. Makeup/nail polish
  19. Plants – cactus, succulent, or large plants
  20. Sliced fruit – especially good for organic skincare, etc
  21. Jewellery/watch
  22. Bath products
  23. Paper/card – for backdrop or background
  24. Mugs
  25. Quirky coasters
  26. Ornaments/home decor pieces
  27. Fridge magnets

I’m sure there are loads more standard household items that could be used, so if you think of any, please pop them in the comments! Has this list been helpful? Let me know below.
