Sunday Samples #1

Every Sunday, I’m going to be sharing the new products I’ve tried through the week and telling you what I thought.

I have so many product samples, whether they’re from stores, events, or magazines. I thought this was a good way to make sure I use them and to get me trying new things. It will mostly be beauty and skincare, but could be anything new I have tried throughout the week.

Sorry about the open packets, but I don’t know what I’m going to be using each week.

Everything is linked so just click the titles if you’d like to find out more.

Here’s what I tried this week…

samples 1

Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion

I liked this. The smell was nice, and I love that Cowshed use natural ingredients. Also my skin felt a lot smoother to touch, like new skin smooth.

Would I buy? Yep – I have the smoothest skin ever!

Guerlain Nail Polish – 143 Nahema

This nail polish is actually brilliant! It went on really easily, was gel like and lasted at least 4 days without chipping. I use my hands a lot and some last 1-2 days if that. The only thing is it’s a bit bright for me. I love coral colours, but this stands out a bit too much on me.

Would I buy? It’s pricey, but if I loved the colour, yes.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat Nail Polish

This is such a great top coat! Nail polish definitely lasts longer, and you get a super shiny gel-style look. It makes every nail polish look better. It’s £6.99 and you use hardly any – absolute bargain!

Would I buy? YES!

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Shampoo

I really wanted to love this. It smells great and is a nice, thick shampoo, but it didn’t really make a difference. If anything, my hair felt drier. However, the whole world (most people on Amazon reviews) love it. I feel like I need to try the shampoo and conditioner together.

Would I buy? I wouldn’t, but it doesn’t cost much to try.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel

From what I’ve read, this is fantastic for older skin.. However, for me, nothing! I can’t believe how good the reviews are compared to the product. Maybe you need to use this more? Has anyone tried?

Would I buy? This is hella expensive! £79 for 50ml, not for me thanks.

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb

This claims to rehydrate skin intensely. I used the whole packet, but can honestly say it did nothing for me. Maybe it does for some people, but I didn’t even feel as moisturised as I do with standard creams.

Would I buy? Nope!

So those are the samples I’ve tried this week! Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any and any that you would like to try.
