New Favourite Skincare! Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

I’ve been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel (well, that’s an easy name!) for a few weeks so thought I’d let you know what I think.

If you suffer from dry or dehydrated skin, you’ll know how frustrating it is when you try a moisturiser and expect it to soak your face, only for your skin to drink it up. I have found Body Shop moisturisers to be pretty helpful for my dehydrated skin (as well as water – drink water, kids!), but still need something a little extra sometimes. A boost if you like!

When I first heard of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, I was sceptical. I was worried it would be just another gimmick to make us desperate dry faces run out to buy some. Although Neutrogena has always been a well-trusted brand so I thought about getting some. Fortunately, I was sent some to try, along with sachets to give to others. Other people said they liked it, but I wasn’t about to believe all of them. So I’ve spent the last few weeks using the gel in order to give a true review, rather than a first impression.

I can honestly say that this is the best skincare I’ve tried in a while, maybe ever! I’ve tried high end products promising to do the same that barely made a difference. This gel made my skin feel softer and more hydrated from the first use, and I personally think my skin looked fresher too.
I’m a bit rubbish with my skincare routine, and go through phases, but I’ve used this each morning and my skin is in much better shape, even without a real routine. Usually around this time of year my skin starts to get a bit dull, but it still looks bright and like I’ve actually had sleep (never the case!). I have even had compliments on my skin!

I’ll definitely be buying more when this runs out! It’s amazing! Have you tried Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel? Found any great new skincare lately?

Tina x

Disclaimer: I was sent this for free to try. Review is honest as always, opinions are my own.

These are some of my favourite skincare products, so if you like these, the Hydro Boost Water Gel might be for you…

I’m obsessed with gel textured moisturisers (just bought the B.Skincare one today from Superdrug to try). I’ll definitely look out for this, sounds great like the Garnier one. x

I keep meaning to try the Garnier one, but it does sound similar. I didn’t realise how good they were! Sure I tried one years ago but forgot. I’ll look out to see how the B.Skincare one is x

Hi Tina! Just discovered your blog and I’m loving it! 🙂 I have recently tried a sample of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel (got it with the Stylist magazine issue a few weeks ago): I, too, was originally sceptical as my skin is super thirsty and felt that no way this water gel would last and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it moisturised my face! And I just used it once and I sure want more! – am thinking of buying some now 🙂

Hi! Thanks so much! It honestly works the same each time, I’m obsessed! Some moisturisers I find I love them for a week or so and then they no longer do anything for me, but this still does. I’d definitely go for it x
