Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume

I love trying new perfumes, so was really happy when I received this Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau De Toilette to try.

I loved the packaging! Perfume outer packaging is not very often as nice as the bottle itself, but the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue box had a suede-like finish and made it seem like a luxurious product even before trying it. The frosted bottle is a great touch and I like that the design is simple, but still looks good on the dressing table (all the important things!)

I found the Light Blue fragrance fresh and modern, just the type I would usually go for. The scent is subtle – perhaps a little too subtle though. It’s a barely there fragrance and doesn’t seem to last too long. I was a bit disappointed as if it was a tiny bit stronger and lasted longer, it would be the perfect every day fragrance for me. It’s a nice daily perfume, but if you like to wear something more noticeable, this is not the one. However, if you like a barely there perfume that adds a bit of a fresh fragrance, this is a great choice!

I’m currently using it every day anyway as it does add a (very) subtle fresh scent so is good for work, but I don’t think I would purchase it again when it runs out. I’d definitely suggest trying this in a store and leaving it on for a while before purchasing.

Have you tried this perfume? What kind of perfume do you go for? I’d love some suggestions in the comments!

I’d forgotten all about this perfume; it was my absolute favourite about 10 years ago. May have to invest in another bottle!
