The Event
I was invited to a blogger event at Pastille Beauty Bar in Leeds to celebrate their 3rd birthday with them! The event was a Bloggers Tea Party, with a manicure, cakes, clothes, jewellery and Prosecco. A perfect Sunday afternoon!
The actual event pictures were difficult as the place was pretty packed – I didn’t do the place justice!
There was a Prosecco reception and when I arrived, people were being treated to manicures and chatting with fellow bloggers. I’m going to say this and hope people understand: this is the most instagrammable event I’ve ever seen with perfect pastel coloured decor, silver balloons and colourful cakes.
The Manicure
We were all treated to a Dash Mani, which included a tidy up and polish. This was my first ever manicure! I always think I’ll treat myself when my nails get longer, but as I nibble them away, it never happens! Gross I know, but a lot of people do it! I’m also a bit cheap and always think I’ll just paint my nails at home, but it’s definitely not the same and it was such a nice treat. I’ll definitely have to go back and try out more techniques and designs. Liv did my nails and I’ve seen her designs on Instagram – she’s so talented!

Local Business Support
Pastille had invited some local businesses to take part in the event, and chose a great bunch! It was great to see local businesses group together to put on such a fantastic celebration. All of the business owners were lovely and it was really great to chat to them and get to know more about what they do.
Borrowed Couture
Borrowed Couture is a UK Designer Dress hire company started by Gemma, with gorgeous dresses for special occasions. The ones where you can’t wear the same dress again! I wish I had a better picture of some of the pieces!
Handmade Sweet Designs
Christina from Handmade Sweet Designs makes jewellery using nail polish for the colours and designs, meaning you can even get something to match your nails! I bought a light pink ring, as think it will go with most things I wear and is an unusual colour for me.
Sugar Bakes Crush
Georgina at Sugar Crush Bakes makes super pretty and incredible tasty cakes and sweet treats! She caters for weddings, parties, baby showers, and I’m sure would be able to come up with a fantastic selection or fancy cake for any occasion. I’ve written a separate post with more photos as felt the cakes needed some extra attention!
Meeting New People
There was a really great crowd and everyone I came across was lovely and easy to talk to. I got to see Katie again from Katie Cupcake – Life With ME (definitely copied her nail colour choice!) who I met at my first bloggers event. I also met Emma from Harmony Blaze, who was absolutely lovely. I won’t name everyone I spoke to, but it was really nice to connect with some local bloggers and meet new people.
Goody Bag
We were lucky enough to be given goody bags with vouchers for local businesses, a rainbow highlighter, Kiehl’s samples, and a few pieces of cake were added too!
If any of the above businesses are reading this, and especially Pastille, I want to thank you all for a lovely Sunday afternoon!
What do you think of the event? Have you had a manicure before? Let me know your thoughts! I’m pretty sure some will be lust and hunger!

That rainbow battenburg is the prettiest cake I have ever seen! Are you wearing the pink nail polish ring in the pictures? It’s so sweet!
Yes, sorry, I should have captioned the photo – but the pink round ring under the jewellery section is the one I bought. I’m not over the rainbow battenburg, I may have to learn to bake! xx
Ooh yes, maybe I should caption it! It’s the one under the jewellery part of the post 🙂 round and pink. The cake was amazing! I just posted the food photos in a new post xx
