Weekly Update 3

hustle (1)

Hey! How’s your Monday going?

Here’s a catch up on last week, what I’ve been up, where I’ve been – a general round up so that you get to know a bit more about the Tina hiding behind the blog.
So here are some bad phone pictures and general day-to-day life.

I received my first ever Lucky Dip Club box this week. It’s a surprise subscription box with lots of cute little items in, usually in collaboration with a great designer. They’re difficult to get as you have to remember to sign up for one on the 1st of each month, and it’s first come, first served, so you have to be early. I’ve missed so many and finally managed to get one on time!

The box is so cute and fits through the letterbox which is definitely a bonus for people in work all day. I’ll be doing a review on it this week so keep an eye out! Have you ever had one? How was it?

I’ve received some goodies in the post this week that I can’t wait to show you! Some stationery that’s really cute and stylish, and a few beauty bits. I’m sure my neighbour must hate me as he takes in my parcels.

I was also contacted to say I’d won this awesome Big Mac mac from McDonald’s! I thought it was a funny idea so I entered! You had to screenshot the picture at the right time and share on Twitter. Winner!

I went for dinner with a friend to Espeto in Leeds, which is an all you can eat grill restaurant. It is similar to Fazenda in the way it is set up. I thought this starter was great! Can you see the fire under the chorizo? I had to turn the chorizo to grill it – too much responsibility, definitely took too long taking a picture! The garlic bread was great too.

After dinner, we took a walk along the Canal in Leeds. It was a lovely evening, and we finished it with a cocktail in Livin’ Italy.

This week’s twitter chat was all about pampering. I had some items at the ready and did a face mask while chatting. (I didn’t even realise it was all Body Shop!) It was so relaxing, chatting to lovely people about all things pampering, whilst doing some. (I always have a notebook or pad to jot things down during the chat, such as recommendations).

The chat inspired me to pamper a little more on the weekend, so I did the things that make me feel good, such as completely relaxing, another face mask, and finally painting my nails! I also spent lots of time getting fresh air on the balcony – of course!

Saturday evening, after a trip to town, was spent snacking and drinking wine on the balcony with my boyfriend. These are my favourite times, just sitting around and chatting for hours.

I also made my very first sale through my new business Small Mighty Websites, which I announced in last week’s update. It’s so exciting, but I really need to make sure I’m consistent with the marketing for it!

I will edit this post and link to any reviews over the next week.

Have you done anything similar lately? Did you join us in the pamper chat?

  • Sounds like a good week! I think it’s so important to remember to pamper yourself. We’re all so busy all the time, it can be easy to forget. But we deserve it! x x

    • Definitely. I think I need to make it a more regular thing as felt so much better afterwards. x

The Lucky Dip Club Box looks so cute! I do love a good pamper myself and I like to buy myself cute little treats every now and again – it’s important to look after ourselves! It sounds like you’ve had a lovely week and congratulations on your first sale!

    • I love the packaging! I agree on the pampering, it’s weird how we can forget to look after ourselves. Thank you! So exciting! Hope you’ve had a great week too x

I love getting my Lucky Dip Club delivery through the post. I always forget the date so it’s a really cute, colourful surprise waiting for me when I get home from work. Definitely with you on the pampering side. I’ve had some really busy weekends recently so might have to book some time out for me this coming one 🙂 x

    • Aww! I wasn’t sure whether to subscribe further. Unfortunately, the box I got wasn’t the best I’ve seen. So now I’m even more unsure! Definitely worth booking some time out. It’s so easy to forget. Even something simple like a face mask while watching tv is nice x

Thanks, they really were. Such an effort though haha! I’d be lost without notes on the chats! Whenever someone suggests a film etc, I write it down 🙂 xx

    • The chorizo was amazing! I’d be lost without a notebook in chats now. Whenever I’m recommended a film or something, it’s so handy xx
