Hi! Back to tell you all about my week. I didn’t really go anywhere this week so have been a bit boring, as I’ve been busy at home – you’ll see why!
How hot was it all week?! Wow! I love heatwaves! I do wish we had some sun to match it though, and that I had no job for a week! It also meant ice lollies all week! I spent most of my evenings this week either preparing some work or reading on the balcony and it’s been bliss.
I went to Harrogate for work again. (I promise I do more than just work usually!)
The heat made me so lazy in the kitchen – too hot! – and one night I wasn’t sure what easy meal to make for dinner so I put together an antipasti platter for us. I laid it out on a blanket with cushions for seats and we had a lovely picnic complete with wine. (I also do not drink wine all day every day, despite the opposite seeming true in this post!) It was so nice and relaxing to sit and pick at light food. Hardly a culinary feat, but sweet!
My friend came round on Thursday evening and cooked for us! Yay to a lazy cooking week! We had prawn and chorizo pasta, with lots of wine again. I’m starting to sound like an alcoholic, I get that. Weirdly, I didn’t drink anything on the weekend!
I got Pokemon Go, but keep forgetting to use it when walking which is really annoying! So I only have 2! I don’t think it’s for me. I tried! In other ‘creature’ news, I found my new favourite fish, a Parrotfish! Isn’t this the best thing that ever existed?!
My weekend was really quiet and so needed. I woke up at 5.30am on Saturday because my body clearly hates me! But it did mean that I got to binge watch The Mindy Project, Gilmore Girls and get loads of work done! I finished my project and can now reveal my brand new venture!
I have started my own web design business! A weekly update and ramble post, complete with rubbish pictures might not be the best advertisement, but I can make a great website!
I have seen so many local and small businesses go without a website because it can be so difficult to get your money’s worth, but I wanted to tell small businesses that they can have great websites too. Hence the name! I’m sure I’ll be tweaking my own website constantly, but I’m excited to officially take on some projects, rather than offering odd jobs on the internet! If you know someone with a small business, hook a sister up! 😉
What have you guys been up to? Have you had a good week? I can’t believe it’s Tuesday already!
