You may have noticed that I now have a lovely new blog header! I am so pleased with it! I had the idea in mind, but kept trying to design it and failing. I am not sure how to do a watercolour design, but knew I wanted one, and I wanted it to have a few drops coming off it, like colourful tea!
I was trying a few different things, but couldn’t quite get what I wanted. Whilst moaning about it on Twitter, my own personal digital superhero swooped in!
My good friend, Claire, from AlohaLolaCards, told me she could help. I have written a post about her business before, which you can check out here: Aloha Lola Cards. Consistently impressive, I was excited to receive her help (again!)
Claire also designed the Late Night Bloggers header and button, so you can see that I’m a just a bit of a fan!
I have seen her blog headers before, but was trying to do it myself, and wanted a different style to her usual designs. However, she is super multi-talented and of course can design anything! She will attempt anything new so go tell her your ideas!
I sent her a quick post-it note design to explain what I was attempting, which I will share below (imagine the monkey emoji covering his eyes!)
I was amazed at how well she picked up what I was wanting and how willing she was to get it right for now. You can see more examples of Claire’s work by following her Twitter account @alohalolacards
The blog headers are such a reasonable price at £15 and each time a new design is shared, I want it! Claire also designs cards, blog buttons, business cards and more, which you can check out on her website! It’s great watching a company grow and I’m excited to see where this one goes!
What do you think of my header?
