Email marketing & a sale is almost a guaranteed spend for me!
I’ve been pretty good at not shopping for a while, but am a little bit in love with H&M so when they had half price shirts, which I’ve been looking at for work, I thought this was the perfect time to buy some.
Of course I didn’t stop there…because I’m Tina. They had a lot of half price items, plus I had a code for discount, so everything worked out crazy cheap. Also, it was all amazing. Not one of those silly shops you do because it’s cheap and nothing else, which I’ve finally managed to stop!
Anyway, on with the haul, which I’m showing you because this stuff really is great and you might also need it in your life! We may be here a while!
I’m going to tell you the price I paid and the price they are now, just to show how great a H&M sale can be! I feel like I’m giving away my secrets, and showing you just how cheap I am, but what else is a blog for?
All images from the H&M website. I tried to take my own, wasn’t happening! I haven’t linked the pictures, but they’re easily searchable and if you want extra info, please let me know.
First, I did actually get shirts! Mission accomplished. They’re stretch shirts, which I normally wouldn’t go for, but they’re so comfortable. They make wearing a shirt feel much more casual and less restrictive.
They ended up being only £5.09 each which is an incredible price! They’re back up to £12.99, but I’d definitely pay that for them anyway.
Next up were jersey tops. I decided to throw out my old plain t-shirts and refresh so bought one in each colour!
Cost: £1.69 / Now £3.99
The next top is a jersey top with buttons and 3/4 sleeves so quite casual, but can be worn with a skirt for work too.
Cost: £4.24 / Now £7.99
Slogan jumpers are not usually my thing, but I love the sweatshirts from H&M, they’re always so comfortable and soft, and easy to wear around the house. This one seems perfect for layering up in the cold and for throwing over a t-shirt on summer nights.
Cost: £5.94 / Now £12.99
I bought some Black Twill trousers as I can’t have enough black trousers and jeans!
I also got some coated ‘treggings’ (hate that word!), which I know are not for everyone. I’m not sure they’re for me really, but like the idea of them!
They both cost £5.10, when they should have been £14.99-19.99. The coated ones are £6 at the moment!
I also don’t have any leggings for lounging anymore, so bought a pair for £4.25 (usual price £9.99)
I have many many bags, clutches, purses. But I only have one small shoulder bag and carrying a clutch can be a pain when out. I thought I’d get a black and nude-ish colour so that they’ll go with everything. That’s not the exact black bag, but it’s not available any more.
Cost: £4.25 – 5.10 / Now £12.99 each
This rose gold pendant goes perfectly with my other rose gold accessories, such as my Daniel Wellington watch. It’s subtle, but still stands out.
Cost: £2.54 / Now £2.99
I love this skull necklace and earring set, it’s just something different. Not my most grown up jewellery, but it’s great for dressing up a plain outfit and pretending I’m a quirky teenager. It’s still only £1.50!
Cost: £1.27 / Now £1.50
I don’t have much subtle jewellery, it is all quite big and costumey, so while I was at it, I picked up a few more cheap necklaces. I love nice jewellery, but when it’s so ridiculously cheap and nobody can tell, why not?! These 2 cost me 85p! Usual cost is £3.99, but they’re sold out.
What is more blogger than rose gold and marble?! I feel I’m falling nicely into that stereotype with my jewellery choices! But look at these earrings! And the matching necklace, where you can change the pendant depending on your outfit. It’s perfect and I wear is most days now!
Unfortunately, they’re no longer available.
Necklace cost: £2.99 / Usual cost £6.99 (still a bargain!) | Earrings cost: £1.70 /Usual cost £3.99
The last thing in the list is the first item I’ve ever bought from the H&M home section. This rug is perfect for my bedroom and cost £5.10 instead of £12.99.
I wouldn’t have hesitated to pay full price for these items, they’re exactly what i would have chosen, regardless of price, but I can’t believe how much of a saving there was!
TOTAL AFTER DISCOUNT:£64.53
P.S. I love H&M!
My clothes from H&M always last forever – actually forever, about 8 years for one jumper I got particularly attached to! I’ve just got rid of it as hardly wear it now, but it was still in great condition!
Have you responded to any sale emails lately or picked up a crazy bargain? Do you like H&M as much as I do?
