Aloha Lola Cards

I came across a lovely artist called Claire on Twitter. She’s great to chat to, funny, and a brilliant artist! She draws cute caricatures and has designed many a blog header or digital portrait for fellow bloggers.

I took a look at her Etsy site, Aloha Lola Cards, and decided to buy a cute card for my boyfriend. I thought it would be fun to have a picture done of us, and this way I could write something nice on it too. It was only £3.10 (plus £1 postage) for a hand-drawn picture of us, copied from a photo I sent over.

I was so impressed when I received it! It came with a blank envelope and a little ‘Thank You’ note too! The card and envelope were great quality and I was so impressed by the attention to detail in the picture.

Before sending, Claire contacted me and sent a picture (below) to make sure I was happy with the design and to see if there were any changes needed, which is just amazing customer service! Her suggestion was a few more hearts. Never say no to more hearts!

I really loved this and would definitely buy again! It’s a really thoughtful and cute gift, and while R might not be too into cuteness, he appreciated the thought and thought it was great. It’s a cute little time capsule and the original photo was from a lovely day at a friend’s wedding so a nice memory too. I’m going to frame it now that it’s been read.

Claire can draw pretty much anything in this style and I’ve seen some great animal pictures by her as well as amazing blog headers!

I’m also really glad I’ve met Claire and talk to her often on Twitter. It’s great when you know you’re buying from such a genuine, lovely person.

Have you ever had a caricature done? I always wanted one! I still want to get one of those hilarious ones done that people seem to get on holidays – you know the ones where they just pick out all your flaws?
