Good luck to Dryathlons!

As some of you may remember, I posted about going ‘Sober for October’ over a year ago.

For someone who regularly drinks alcohol, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. The most difficult thing was answering the questions about why I was suddenly going without!

I thought a few of you taking part in the January Dryathlon for Cancer Research could do with some inspiration, or spurring on!

Check out my old post to see how I got on.

I actually found it less of a challenge than I thought. The most disheartening thing was that hardly anyone would sponsor me! Alcohol free for nothing!

I think the first week was probably the weirdest/worst, so keep going, make some money for a good cause, and prepare for a great party in February!

No cheating!

Good luck!

I did dry January once, about 5 years ago. My close group of friends were all planning to do it, and they gradually all gave in. I was the only one who stuck to it.

Have to say I didn’t really feel any better for it, which makes me think that alcohol can’t be that bad for you 😀

Exactly what I thought! I’d thought I’d feel healthier or less tired. I got nothing! Except being the boring one at parties haha 🙂
