So much happened this month!
More big news this month as my first nephew was born! I rushed home – massive journey again – to meet him and it was love at first sight! He’s so adorable. (no pictures of others from me on this blog, but trust me!)
My niece was by my side all week, and we hung out and did cool things while everyone cooed at the baby.
It wasn’t the sunniest week, but we made the most of it anyway and went to the beach!
I also met up with friends, had lots of drinks and yummy food and went to see Magic Mike XXL, of course.
Back in Leeds, I finally went to Lotherton Hall. Lovely place for a family day out, but we had great fun just the two of us.
They had a history of fashion exhibition that was really interesting.
Also, just as I expected, plenty of birds of prey. Look at him!!
The grounds were lovely, great for a long walk. The flowers at the actual house weren’t very well looked after though!
My favourite part had to be watching the ducks diving. They’d disappear under the water for ages and seem lost when they popped back up.
We did the usual wander around town. I love walking around and exploring Leeds. There always seems to be something to do.
Went to the museum and discovered the Civic Theatre. I’ve been there a few times, but always see something I missed.
We went for a day in Harrogate and went to Valley Gardens, where they had a 1940s event going on. It was amazing! Really impressive and definitely going to go back next year.
As well as all this, an amazing family member, known to all as Grandma, turned 100 this month! She is an incredible woman, who is still in great shape and has to be told to rest! Here she is in the local paper:
