When I first started my blog, it was just a place to write some thoughts, as I enjoyed reading other blogs so much and thought it would be a diary of sorts. Some people get fed up of my rants on Facebook, or me posting about awesome products, I’m sure. It’s not the place for things like that. Instead, I’ll just let people know what I had for dinner and how my work day is, and other boring stuff. Even though I started the blog over a year ago, I was hardly posting and when I did, I didn’t keep it up.

A year on, and I find myself checking blogs for reviews as I find them more honest and detailed than general online reviews, especially ones on companies’ own websites.

When I go somewhere, I check out blog posts and see what I should check out while there or have missed after coming back.

I also like to see what real people think of real events, rather than just looking at news pages or asking only the people I know.

That’s what made me continue to use my own blog. The fact that people get something from looking at a review, or can discuss their views openly, makes me continue to use this as an outlet for my thoughts and ideas.

I have a lot of great people in my life, but I do not know many that are similar to me and can discuss each and every thing I think about so it’s great that there are people out there who can relate to the different sections and topics within the site.

Lately I have used the blog more, and it shows, as my stats are increasing and people are actually engaging with the things my friends may deem pointless conversation. Stats are not all that important, but I’m amazed people are actually looking at things I write online. There are so many blogs and articles out there that it’s amazing I’m even seen by one person!
In light of this, I have decided to be a bit more proactive when it comes to this. I enjoy it, it will always be a hobby, but I’d like to make it more of a regular thing. I’d like to look back in a few years at all the things I tried and tested, places I’ve been and current events that have swayed my thinking.

The reason I started is the main reason I’ll stay, but I want to thank anyone who has read, liked, commented on and shared my content, as it makes it seem worthwhile putting my random thoughts out into the world. <3
