Save money, save time, save yourself!

Being savvy can save you time, save you money and save you distress!

For fashion lovers, food lovers, holiday lovers, just lovely lifestyle lovers…

Firstly, I will ramble – I like to be clear! And there’s no-one here to stop me!

BUT…I will save you money!

Not in the boring don’t-spend-and-live-off-beans-and-stop-going-outside way. No! You can still live your luxurious little lifestyle, but for less.

I’d like this to be a general space for people to chat, swap ideas and tips and feel better about the wonderful things we purchase. I refuse to promote anything I don’t love and I promise brutal honesty. If there is anything you’d like me to try, let me know and I’ll do my best to get hold of and try products or new websites.
If you come across any great offers or websites, let me know and I’ll add it in. This is OUR space.

Okay, so I know you’ve heard of some of these websites (who can get away from those Wowcher ads?), but have you actually given them a go? Because I have, and I’ve managed to live pretty well, far beyond my means as always, but I’m trying, and each purchase feels just that little bit more justified. Not that my spending takes much justification. But a £65 haircut for £14 (at a respected salon) – why would you NOT try?!
These websites, Groupon, Wowcher, LivingSocial, etc, are especially good if you live in cities.

But don’t despair if you don’t! I’m from a teeny town in Wales and there are definitely still bargains to be had – don’t give up on me yet! One example is HUKD (Hot UK Deals). Go look now! Right now! In a new tab…don’t lose me!

Assuming you just looked – I hope at least a few did – there are deals for Tesco, Asda, online clothing sites, everything. Every bargain, every accidental glitch, well most, will be found among those pages. People post the offers after they have experienced them, and each deal is discussed by the savvy shoppers so you can make sure it applies to your local store or works for everyone online.

It’s knowing where to find what you want and how to go about your purchase. I recently did a £90 food shop for just under £30, and had it delivered free to my house – amazing! Oh, and I won £60 today playing a game I didn’t really pay for.

Even Facebook has pages dedicated to finding you deals. Check out 10 Ways To Save Money (it says as a student, but you don’t have to be, I’m not). I’m having free pizza tomorrow, courtesy of them!

I’m not going to claim to be the best shopper, but I’m giving it a good go!
I felt inspired, so I decided to share my wealth…of knowledge!

Once you start, it’ll seem really easy. Don’t be lazy, be savvy.

Just as an idea…
So far this year (yes, 2014):

*A week’s holiday to Budapest, Hungary for £104 including flights, accommodation, transfers and insurance.

*Body Shop items worth £65 for only £22 (wish I’d had done this before Christmas! But treats for me!)

* Subscription to Cosmopolitan magazine (around £3.50 per mag usually) for 3 months for £1

*Cashback on most purchases online, claimed £54 last time I withdrew money.

*Free gifts all of the time (before Christmas, brand lipglosses, plush toys, etc)

You’ve just given me some more ideas to be frugal (evil laugh here!). Thanks a million (pun intended!)
